No, all you need is your phone. We’ve built TymePOS so that your Android phone is your card machine. All you need to do is install and open the app, and accept payments by getting customers to tap their card on your device.
Simple and easy, with no extra hardware to worry about or carry around!

No contract needed. All you need to do is set up your account, download TymePOS, and you can start accepting card payments.

TymePOS is not available on iOS. Apple currently doesn’t allow 3rd parties to use the NFC feature of their devices.

There are no card payment transaction limits. Card issuers may impose their own daily transaction limits.
However, cardholders will need to enter their card PIN for transactions amounting to R500 or greater.

You’ll receive a notification once we’ve completed the setup. This shouldn’t take longer than 48 hours.
If you haven’t received a notification within 48 hours from registration, contact us on 0860 999 119.
If you have created your TymePOS account on a Friday, or Public holiday, please expect a delay in setup completion until the next banking day.

There are no upfront fees or monthly fees. We earn once you earn.
There is an R 1.00 fee for every R 50.00 of your sales transactions (or part thereof). For example, a sale worth R 80.00 will have a fee of R 2.00 and a sale worth R 117.00 will be fee of R 3.00.
Sales greater than R10,000 will incur a 2% transaction fee.

TymePOS is a card payment solution that lets businesses accept card payments from customers through tap-to-pay functionality. This is enabled through the TymePOS app on NFC-enabled Android smartphones running Android 8.0 or higher.
