Terms & Conditions for Campaigns
- Below are standard terms & conditions applicable to the 5 million customer competition (“Competition”)
- The Competition open on the 4th of July and closes on the 13th of July 2022 at midnight (the “Competition Period”).
- No employees of TymeBank, its suppliers, directors, agent, consultants, partners or related companies and their immediate family members or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by the promoter, are eligible to enter this competition.
- TymeBank customers who transact five (5) times within the Competition Period will stand a chance of being 1 of 10 winners to receive R5000 (five thousand rand) (the “Prize Money”) every day for 10 (ten) days. The 5 transactions should be any of the following:
- MoreTyme
- Card Swipes
- SendMoney
- Purchases: data, airtime, or electricity
- Buy Vouchers
- If you fail to comply with any of the terms and conditions, then without prejudice to any other remedy which we may have, you will be automatically disqualified and you will forfeit the Prize Money (in the event that you have already won the Prize Money).
- By transacting 5 times as mentioned in paragraph 3 above, you will be automatically entered into the draw. You may only win once.
- Winners will be chosen randomly. The judges’ decision regarding the winners is final, and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the decision.
- Your entry into the competition and/or your acceptance of the Prize Money constitutes your binding acceptance of the terms and conditions on behalf of yourself.
- Entries reflected on TymeBank’s records will be treated as the only validation source and will be the only evidence of successful entries.
- The Prize Money will be paid to the winner’s TymeBank account within 2 business days from the date that the winner has been contacted and provided TymeBank with the necessary information to process the winning.
- The Prize Money is not negotiable or transferable and may not be deferred, changed, or exchanged for any other item or cash.
- The Prize Money winners will be asked to be part of marketing and promotional activities, including social media posts, for which no fee, royalty or other compensation will be payable. Winners have the right to decline consent or participation in the marketing and promotional activities.
- If we are unable to contact a winner within 5 days, the winner will forfeit the Prize Money and we reserve the right to re-draw a new winner under the same conditions.
- We may require you to provide us with such additional information and documentation as we may reasonably require in order to process, confirm, and facilitate your acceptance of the Prize Money. If you refuse to provide us with the requested information or documentation within 2 (two months), you will forfeit the Prize Money.
- Winners authorise TymeBank to use and process their personal information for the purposes of conducting this competition and to comply with the requirements of the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and the Protection of Personal Information Act, No 4 of 2013. This competition is conducted in terms of the applicable privacy laws and TymeBank’s Privacy Policy which is available on the TymeBank website.
- It is your responsibility to ensure that any information which you provide to us is accurate, complete, and up to date. Should any of the data provided by yourself in connection with this Competition prove to be invalid, inaccurate, false, or misleading, your entry shall be disregarded.
- TymeBank is not liable for any loss or damages that may occur as a result of entering or participating in the competition.
- We do not make any representations or give any warranties, whether expressly or implicitly, as to the Prize Money, and in particular, but without limitation, make no representations and give no warranty that your entry or participation in the competition will necessarily result in you winning the Prize Money.
- We reserve the right to vary, postpone, suspend, or cancel the competition and any Prize Money, or any aspect thereof, without notice at any time, for any reason which we deem necessary. In the event of such variation, postponement, suspension, or cancellation, you agree to waive any rights, interests, and expectations that you may have in terms of this competition and acknowledge that you will have no recourse against us and our affiliates. You may not win the Prize Money if it is unlawful for us to supply such the Prize Money to you.
- We and our affiliates will not be responsible for any harm, damage, loss, or claim relating to the provision of any element of the Prize Money or any changes to the Prize Money that may be made at any time.
- You agree that your participation in the competition, and your acceptance and/or use of the Prize Money, or any aspect thereof, is at your own risk.
- These terms and conditions will be construed, interpreted, and enforced in accordance with the laws of contract and dispute resolution in the Republic of South Africa.
- If you fail to comply with any of the terms and conditions, then without prejudice to any other remedy which we may have, you will be automatically be disqualified and you will forfeit the
Prize Money/s (in the event that you have won the Prize Money).
IMPORTANT NOTICE
Beware of fake notifications and calls that say you’ve won:
- Winners will be announced on TymeBank’s official social media platforms (Facebook and Twitter).
- Unless pre-arranged with you, we will NEVER come to your office or home to say you’re a winner or to deliver the Prize Money.
- If anyone phones to say you’ve won the Prize Money in a competition, make sure you’ve entered or participated in it! If anyone calls to say you’ve won a competition you never entered, it is NOT one of our representatives.
- Our representatives will be able to quote your ID number if you have an existing bank account with TymeBank.
- If you are concerned that a caller has contacted you pretending to be from TymeBank, please store the number of the caller (if you have caller ID), email address or social media profile and contact us through our official channels.
Below are the standard terms & conditions applicable to the TymeBank’s #CashCleva Twitter Spaces Competition.
- Entries open on 29 June and closes on the 04 th July 2022 at 5pm.
- No employees of TymeBank, its suppliers, directors, agent, consultants, partners or related companies and their immediate family members or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by the promoter, are eligible to enter this competition.
- Up to R4 000 will be shared equally amongst 2 winners who will join the TymeBank Twitter Spaces on 29 June at 10am – 11am.
- A further R10 000 will be shared equally amongst 5 winners who will go to the TymeBank App, take a screenshot of one of the 3 TymeHealth covers, share it on Twitter or Facebook and tag @tymebankza.
- If the winner isn’t a TymeBank customer, they will get a chance to open the account as the money will not be transferred to any competitor banks. Prizes will only be paid into the winner’s TymeBank EveryDay Account.
- If you fail to comply with any of the terms and conditions, then without prejudice to any other remedy which we may have, you will be automatically disqualified and you will forfeit the prize/s (in the event that you have already won a prize).
- You may only enter and win once.

- Campaign dates are from 1 June 2022 until 30 July 2022.
- TymeBank may at any point without notice vary, suspend, or terminate this campaign.
- Only TymeBank customers who are invited to participate in the campaign will stand a chance of being awarded airtime or data, provided that the invited TymeBank customer duly follows all of the instructions set out in the invitation to participate.
- Customers that have not been invited to participate in the campaign do not stand a chance of being awarded airtime or data.
- Airtime or data awarded may not be, deferred, changed, or redeemed for cash or any other item at any time.
- The airtime or data awarded is not negotiable.
- Additional costs incurred cannot be claimed back from TymeBank, data is based on the single download of the TymeBank App from the various stores and does not include physical data utilised to transact.
- No dispute will be entered into and the decision of awarding airtime or data to a customer remains at the discretion of TymeBank and its management team.
- Awarded airtime or data will be automatically preloaded onto the cellphone number linked to the customer TymeBank account profile. If the cellphone number is NOT on prepaid, the customer will be contacted directly and provided with an airtime or data voucher number.
- Airtime or data rewards are based on the following transactions, subject to the discretion of TymeBank and its management team:
- the customer will be rewarded with either 200MB or 500MB of Data for downloading the App for the first-time successful activation of their Tymebank account.
- In order to activate your TymeBank account, the user must have the TymeBank App installed on their device and deposit funds into their account via the Add Money functionality, EFT from another Bank into their account or Cash Deposit at a Pick n Pay Boxer Till Point.
- It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the cellphone number linked to the customer TymeBank account profile is accurate.
- No dispute will be entered into should profile account number not match the customer current cellphone number.
- Data and airtime is not transferrable to any other number. It can only be used on the number linked to the customers TymeBank account profile.
- Should the customer mobile device not be capable of downloading the TymeBank App then the airtime reward cannot be awarded.
- If you fail to comply with any of these terms and conditions, you will not be eligible to enter the campaign and will be automatically disqualified from being awarded airtime or data and will forfeit the airtime awarded (in the event that you have been awarded airtime).
- You only have one valid entry and may only win once. For the sake of clarity, if you have entered and won either airtime or data, you make not enter the campaign again.
- By participating in this campaign, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accept these terms and conditions.
- TymeBank records will be treated as the only validation source and will be the only evidence of your participation in the campaign.
- You authorise and consent to TymeBank using and processing your personal information for the purposes of conducting this campaign in compliance with the requirements of the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and the Protection of Personal Information Act, No 4 of 2013.
- This campaign is conducted in terms of the applicable privacy laws and TymeBank Privacy Policy which is available on the TymeBank website (www.tymebank.co.za).
- It is your responsibility to ensure that your cell phone number on record is accurate, complete, and up to date.
- Should your cell phone number be invalid or inaccurate you will not receive the airtime or data that have been awarded to you.
- TymeBank is not liable for any loss or damages that may occur as a result of participating in the campaign.
- We or our affiliates will not be responsible for any harm, damage, loss, or claim relating to the provision of any element of the airtime awarded or any changes to a reward that may be made at any time.
- Subject to the applicable laws, we reserve the right to vary, postpone, suspend, or cancel the campaign and any rewards, or any aspect thereof, without notice at any time, for any reason which we deem necessary. In the event of such variation, postponement, suspension, or cancellation, you agree to waive any rights, interests and expectations that you may have in terms of this campaign and acknowledge that you will have no recourse against us and our affiliates.
- You agree that your participation in the campaign, and your acceptance and/or use of the airtime reward or any aspect thereof, is at your own risk.
- These terms and conditions will be construed, interpreted, and enforced in accordance with the laws of contract and dispute resolution in the Republic of South Africa.
Below are the standard terms & conditions applicable to TymeBank’s #CashCleva Twitter Spaces Competition.
- Entries open on 25 May to 30 May 2022 at 5pm.
- No employees of TymeBank, its suppliers, directors, agent, consultants, partners or related companies and their immediate family members or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by the promoter, are eligible to enter this competition.
- Up to R4 000 will be shared equally amongst 2 winners who will join the TymeBank Twitter Spaces on 25 May 2022 from 10am - 11am. They should give a tip on how to protect themselves from scammers, share it on Twitter and tag @tymebankza. The winners will be announced at the end of the Twitter Spaces.
- A further R10 000 will be shared equally amongst 5 winners who will give a tip on how to protect themselves from scammers, share it on Twitter and tag @tymebankza.
- If the winner isn’t a TymeBank customer, they will get a chance to open the account as the money will not be transferred to any competitor banks. Prizes will only be paid into the winner’s TymeBank EveryDay Account.

- Entries open on 21 March 2022 and closes on 30 April 2022 at 5pm.
- No employees of TymeBank, its suppliers, directors, agent, consultants, partners or related companies and their immediate family members or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by the promoter, are eligible to enter this competition.
- Buy using MoreTyme between the 21st March – 8 April and stand a chance to win your share of up to R16 000 to pay off the remainder of your MoreTyme balance. Winnings will be limited to R2 000 per customer.
- As part of the competition, all winners must have the TymeBank account, as the prizes will only be paid into the winner’s TymeBank EveryDay Account.
- If you fail to comply with any of the terms and conditions, you will not be eligible to enter the competition and will be automatically disqualified and forfeit any prize/s (in the event that you have already won a prize).
- You only have one valid entry and may only win once. For the sake of clarity, if you have entered and won a prize, you make not enter the competition again.

- Up to R4 000 will be shared equally amongst 2 winners who will join the TymeBank Twitter Spaces on 23 March at 10am – 11:30am. They should mention a store where they can pay using MoreTyme, share it on Twitter and tag @tymebankza. The winners will be announced at the end of the Twitter Spaces.
- A further R10 000 will be shared equally amongst 5 winners who will mention a store where they can pay using MoreTyme, share it on Twitter and tag @tymebankza.
- If you fail to comply with any of the terms and conditions, you will not be eligible to enter the competition and will be automatically disqualified and forfeit any prize/s (in the event that you have already won a prize).

- This competition starts on 20 September 2021 and ends on 07 November 2021
- In order to qualify as an entrant for this competition:
- the entrant must live in the Republic of South Africa;
- the entrant must provide correct and full personal details, as required; and
- the entrant must be 18 years old or older.
- the entrant cannot be a juristic entity and must be an individual;
- The competition is open to all registered Pick n Pay Smart Shoppers who have a TymeBank card;
- The affiliate, TymeBank, their directors, members, partners, employees, agents or consultants, the suppliers of goods or services in connection with this competitional competition, or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by the above named parties and their respective spouses, life partners, business partners or immediate family members are not permitted to participate in this competitional competition.
- To enter the competition, the entrant must:
- Be a registered Pick n Pay Smart Shopper.
- Be a registered TymeBank card holder.
- Swipe and pay with their TymeBank card at Pick n Pay between 20 September to 07 November. An Entrant automatically enters the draw, every time the entrant swipes their TymeBank card when shopping at any Pick n Pay.
- Customers entering this competition are eligible to win the following prize:
- 10 (ten) lucky customers can win their share of 10 million Smart Shopper points.
- Each winner will receive a maximum of 1 million in Smart Shopper points equivalent to R10 000.
- Each entrant can only win this competition once.
- Prizes are not negotiable, transferable and may not be exchanged for cash or other prizes.

- SELECTION OF WINNERS
- Winners will be selected by / before 30 November 2021. This date is subject to change without notice.
- Entrants to whom prizes will be awarded will be selected through a random draw.
- Winners will be contacted via email or telephonically starting from 01 December 2021 (latest starting date). Winners that have no valid contact details will be excluded from the draw. If winners have not been able to be contacted within 2 working days, they will forfeit and a backup winner will be selected.
- Smart Shopper prize points will be loaded to TymeBank customers cards which double up as a Smart Shopper card within 2 business days from the date that the winner is successfully contacted.
- Entries reflected on our records will be treated as the only validation source and will be the only evidence of successful entries.
- Pick n Pay reserves the right to disqualify a winner if he/she does not respond to the email or telephone call within one week of winner selection and randomly select a replacement winner from the competition entries. In such circumstances, the replacement winner shall be contacted via email or telephonically by Pick n Pay as soon as reasonably practicable and shall be required to respond to Pick n Pay in the manner set out in such correspondence. In the event that the replacement winner fails to respond to Pick n Pay as required, then the provisions of this clause shall apply to that new winner in the same way as if he/she were the original winner. If the selected winner does not have any contact details a redraw will need to take place immediately.
- Pick n Pay reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions as well as terminate the Competition at any time. In the event of such termination, all participants agree to waive any rights that they may have in terms of the Competition and acknowledge that they will have no recourse against Pick n Pay, its advertising agencies, advisors, suppliers and nominated agents.
- The prize winners will be asked to be part of marketing and promotional activities, including social media posts, for which no fee, royalty or other compensation will be payable. Winners have the right to decline consent or participation in the marketing and promotional activities.
- Pick ‘n Pay or TymeBank may request the winners to provide such additional information and documentation as we may reasonably require in order to process, confirm and facilitate the winners’ acceptance of a prize. - Up to R60 000 will be shared weekly amongst 10 winners who will translate a banking term correctly on PowerFM and Social Media (Twitter). The requirements of a valid entry are set-out in these terms and conditions.

In the event of such variation, postponement, suspension or cancellation, you agree to waive any rights, interests and expectations that you may have in terms of this competition and acknowledge that you will have no recourse against us and our affiliates. You may not win a prize if it is unlawful for us to supply such a prize to you.
- We and our affiliates will not be responsible for any harm, damage, loss or claim relating to the provision of any element of a prize or any changes to a prize that may be made at any time.
- You agree that your participation in the competition, and your acceptance and/or use of a prize, or any aspect thereof, is at your own risk.
- These terms and conditions will be construed, interpreted and enforced in accordance with the laws of contract and dispute resolution in the Republic of South Africa.
